Trail Coureur des Bois de Duchesnay - Races

Races

New for 2024: A new 48K race!

For this 10th edition, nearly 2000 runners and walkers will venture into the magnificent wilderness of the Duchesnay Tourist Resort.

The 48 km route with a positive elevation gain of 1530m combines several beautiful trails of the Duchesnay Tourist Resort, in addition to offering views of Lac Saint-Joseph and Lac Sergent. The race begins with a mix of cross-country ski trails and forest roads. From Lac Jaune, participants will join a 26 km segment consisting mainly of “single track” trails. Then, they will tackle an entirely new and unprecedented segment that includes several very demanding uphill and downhill ridges. Trail enthusiasts seeking a more technical challenge will find rocky and tough terrain between km 38 and km 40.

Our event is sanctioned TRAIL by the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme.

For this 10th edition, nearly 2000 runners and walkers will venture into the magnificent wilderness of the Duchesnay Tourist Resort.

The 18 km route with a positive elevation gain of 595m will follow the same roads as the 8 km route but will diverge from the small loop at La Halte refuge to turn onto the Coureur des bois trail (number 58). Participants will encounter an ascent of approximately 2 km before beginning a slight descent afterward. Approaching the 8 km mark, runners and walkers will venture onto the trail used for cross-country skiing in winter. It’s wider but not necessarily easier. This will lead to La Halte to continue the 8 km loop.

Our event is sanctioned TRAIL by the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme.
