Races

Participants will cover all the staircases that connect Quebec City’s upper and lower towns. Alternately climbing one staircase and descending the next, participants get to run more than 40 staircases for a total of 2,828 steps.

Course

The new start and finish site of the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ Staircase Challenge will be at the Parc de l’Esplanade for the 2022 edition. Participants will have to go through all the staircases that connect the Lower Town and the Upper Town of Quebec City. Alternating between a staircase to climb and a staircase to descend, the participants will cross more than forty staircases for a total of 2,828 steps over 19K.

Alternating between a staircase to climb and a staircase to descend, they will face more than thirty staircases for a total of 2,492 steps over 13km.

Those who would like to experience an introduction to stair training will be able to participate in this 9K event that combines road running and walking. A perfect challenge for newcomers with nearly 30 stairs for a total of 1250 steps to tackle!

Running enthusiasts will climb and descend nearly thirty of Quebec City’s most beautiful staircases to finish their event downtown.
