Race day
BEFORE THE RACE
The new start and finish site of the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ Staircase Challenge will be at the Parc de l’Esplanade in the heart of Old Quebec for the 2022 edition. The maps of the events are available here.
Bib and t-shirt pickup
To pick up your bib or someone else’s bib, you must show the bib number in paper or electronic format. Click here to get the bib number.
When registering, adding the t-shirt is optional. You will have the option of deducting an amount from your invoice or of making a donation to the Scol’ERE scholarship as compensation, if you choose not to take it.
Participation medal
When registering, you will be able to forgo the medal and donate the value of the medal to the Scol’Ere scholarship in order to offset part of the GHG generated by the event.

The starts are in waves of 12 runners every 12 seconds.

The new start and finish site of the Fonds de Solidarité FTQ Staircase Challenge will be at the Parc de l’Esplanade in the heart of Old Quebec for the 2022 edition.
Bag check
Participants can choose to leave their personal belongings under a tent, at the start/finish site. Bags must be identified with the detachable strip at the bottom of the bib. Bags can be picked up at the finish area until 12:00 p.m. There is a maximum size limit of 18’’ x 10’’ x 8’’ per bag.

The organization gives itself the right, within three days of the race, to withdraw a runner’s purse if the results have been falsified.
Recognition pins for people 65 and over
To recognize the participation of people 65 and over, we give the TOP 3 in each age category a recognition pin. These will be given to the winners on site.

Kilometre markers
Kilometre markers will be placed every three kilometres in ascending distance order.

During the race, the roads along the course are not closed to vehicle traffic. Police officers will be stationed at major intersections.
