Race day

BEFORE THE RACE

Start time

First start: 7h

For participants who expect to run a time between 5:30 and 6:00 in the marathon (42.2K). These runners must be registered in the green corral.

Second start: 7h30

For participants who expect to run a time under 5:30 in the marathon (42.2K).

Start and finish areas

The start area for the half-marathon is on J.-B. Michaud Street in Lévis. The meeting point is at the Lévis Conference Centre (Centre des Congrès).

The finish area is on Saint-Paul Street, near the Gare du Palais station. The finish line is the same for all of the Sunday races.

To pick up your bib or someone else’s bib, you must show
the Evencour registration confirmation in paper or electronic format.

IMPORTANT: No bibs will be handed out at the shuttle loading area or at the start area on Sunday, August 27. All bibs must be picked up at the Fitness Expo. If you don’t have your bib, you will not be allowed to race.

Transportation for participants

Between 5 a.m. and 5:45 a.m., there will be free shuttles to transport participants to their respective start areas. The shuttle loading area for the marathon is located on Quai Saint-André Street, across from the Espace 400e building. You must show your bib to board the shuttle.

Companions wanting to use the shuttle service can purchase a coupon for $7 (including taxes) at the Fitness Expo. Coupons include one round-trip journey to the marathon (42.2K) start area and back to the finish area.

If you want to drive to the marathon start area, there are plenty of parking options near the start line. Note that no transportation will be provided back to this area. For this reason, participants are encouraged to use the shuttle service provided by the organizers.

Bag check

Participants can choose to leave their personal belongings in the Purolator trucks at the marathon start area. Bags must be identified with the detachable strip at the bottom of the bib. Bags can be picked up at the finish area until 3 p.m. There is a maximum size limit of 18’’ x 10’’ x 8’’ per bag.

Pont de Québec bridge
The Pont de Québec bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Quebec City area
Between Pont Pierre Laporte bridge and Gilmour Hill
•  From 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: all lanes CLOSED to motor vehicle traffic. Westbound traffic from Quebec City will be diverted via Gilmour Hill and eastbound traffic from the bridges will be diverted via Chemin St-Louis.
•  From 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.: two lanes open to westbound traffic (north side of road)

Between Gilmour Hill and eastern end of Champlain Boulevard
•  From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.: open to traffic in both directions, but eastbound lanes restricted to residents only.
•  Traffic will be filtered by police at the top and bottom of Gilmour Hill.

Between the eastern end of Champlain Boulevard and Quai Saint-André Street
•  From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.: open to westbound traffic only (in other words, motorists can leave the city via this route, but not drive into town this way).

Quai St-André Street itself will be completely closed to traffic from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants getting a ride to the start line should travel south on Route de l’Église, then Liégeois Boulevard. The drop-off point is at the intersection of Liégois Boulevard and Côte Ross hill, and participants will then have to walk about 250 m down the hill to the start area. Map is coming soon.
