Défi escaliers - Useful information
If you want to switch to a longer distance, you’ll have to pay the difference between what you initially paid and the fee for the distance that was payable at that time, plus a $10 administration fee. No refunds are given for changing to a shorter distance.
The deadline for requesting a change online is Wednesday, June 7 at 4 p.m. After that time, you can request a change of distance when you go to pick up your bib.
Transferring a registration
If you want to transfer your registration to seomeone else, you’ll have to pay a $15 administration fee.

The same prize money is awarded to the top men and women for each race.

Roi et Reine du Cap-Blanc Saucony When participants reach the last staircase on the 19K course at Cap-Blanc (398 steps), they can try to earn the title of Roi et la Reine du Cap-Blanc Saucony at the event.
Défi SprintThe sprint section runs along the path between the top of the Cap-Blanc staircase and the exit onto Gilmour Hill. All participants in the 19K race will be timed over this 1.5 km section of the course.
Entry for all races is based on the participant’s age on December 31, 2017.

First place in each age category
The first male and female runner in each age category from the 2016 event will qualify for free registration in the same distance race for the 2017 Quebec City Staircase Challenge. To claim your free registration, you must email your name, the event name and your age category to firstname.lastname@example.org before June 9, 2017. Free registration cannot be transferred to another person, another event or another year.
Limited runners capacityThere’s a total of 1900 places available for all races of this event.
